Accomodation in 2 double/twin rooms and one triple room with shared facilities, shower and WC in an old but new renovated farmhouse. All rooms have handbasins and a wardrobe. Spacious sitting room with a sofa and table, TV , books , games and toys for children. Self catering well equiped kitchen.
An extra bed and babycrib available. Made up beds or sleeping bag accomodation included breakfast with a lot of homemade products from the farm. The house can be rented for aprox. 8 people.
One double/twin room with en suite in a small cottage without cooking facilities but a kettle for heating water. Teabags and instant coffee.
Guesthouse Neðra-Vatnshorn is by road no 1 in the Northwestpart of Iceland in the comunity Hunathing vestra. Hvammstangi village is within a short distance, only 10 min by car. There you can find a supermarket, restaurants, handcraft shop, the Icelandic sealcentre museum and touristinformation and a great swimming pool with sauna and hot tubs. The most interested places to visit are closed from the farm as Vatnsnespeninsula with sealwatching, Hvítserkur rock , Borgarvirki in Vesturhópur and Kolugljúfur waterfalls in a steep canyon by the river Víðidalsá. Good hiking conditions from the farm and the area nearby. Horseriding available on two farms nearby.
Neðra-Vatnshorn is a dairy working farm with sheep and horses. Guests are welcome to join us at work. Special highlights are the lambing season in May, sheep gathering and round up in middle of September and horseround up on 2 places last week end in September and first week end in October. Guesthouse Neðra-Vatnshorn is a member of the Icelandic farmholiday association and has its own environtimental policy.
